Casino Movies

Casino movies are those movies that take place in the casino, even when that means the main character isn’t gambling. Casino movies could portray a winning or losing situation or a situation where one is avoiding certain danger or capture from owing one money or the police. The plots are generally the same, while the scenery is big flashy lights and bells. Casino money gives adventure, and sometimes comedy, while making the viewer long for a vacation.

1. Ocean 11- 2001
Danny Ocean, played by George Clooney, has just been released from a New Jersey prison, but is already to get back in the game again, of stealing that is. He picks eleven of his closest friends and business partners, some gamblers, some skilled thieves to attempt to steal over $150 million from three of casinos of a man, who is involved with Oceans ex-wife.

2. Casino – 1995

The movie is about life in a typical Las Vegas casino. Robert De Niro plays Sam Rothstein, who is the front man of a casino in Vegas in the 1970s. Everything is going smoothly, and then suddenly falls to pieces. This movie is based on real events.

3. Honeymoon in Vegas -1992

Jack Singer played by Nicolas Cage heads to Las Vegas with his fiancée, and the night before their nuptials goes gambling. He enters a high stakes poker game, where he loses lots of money, and can’t cover the losses to the poker champ. In a negotiation, the poker champ claims all debt will be wiped clean if he could spend a little time with Singers fiancée.

4. Indecent Proposal- 1993

Young couple looses everything, so try to strike it rich in Las Vegas. David Murphy played by Woody Harrelson enters the casinos, and loses at their tables. John Gage played by Robert Redford offers money to sleep with Murphy’s wife Diana played by Demi Moore.
